About the Club
Kempsey Saints Football Club was formed in 1971 making it one of the oldest clubs in both the FMNC and NCF zones. Since its inception the club has been about fostering sporting opportunity for all comers regardless of age, gender, cultural background or ability. Saints still prides itself that it follows this same philosophy nearly 50 years later. Saints has given thousands of youngsters the chance to play football wearing the famous green and white colours of the club.
Saints is a relative newcomer to senior football only entering the FMNC Premier League competition in 2010. This was to give its juniors a pathway to play at the highest local level. For the same reason it has entered the new and exciting initiative of Coastal Premier League. The club has always built its squads through the development of its own juniors and prides itself on seeking success by promoting loyalty and opportunity.
Head Coach Kevin Sinclair
Kempsey Saints FC CPL squad will be coached by Kevin Sinclair. He has been with Saints for over 20 years and has coached countless teams from 6s to Premier League. Sinclair has taken a team approach to coaching this season bringing on board Luke Flanagan as reserve grade coach, Sam Mahoney as strength and conditioning coach, club stalwart Jason Fisher as technical advisor and assistance from Coaching Coordinator Toby O’Brien.
Captain Lachlan Jay
First Grade will be led by youngster Lachlan Jay. Lachlan will be in his first year wearing the armband and thoroughly deserves it with his commitment to the club and the coastal premier league campaign.
Saints is fortunate to have a group of players in the Premier League squad who can work together to achieve a positive outcome. Lachlan is an integral part of that leadership group.
